meet in a Martini Glass along with Local Cranberry Bog Honey
The finishing touch teardrop of local honey is not only the perfect balance of sweetness from a fresh local ingredient in our own small Cape Cod town. It is the inspiration behind the cocktail's name: "Napoleon's Tear".
The unique, perfect elderflower liqueur from France is combined with this pure, high quality vodka from Russia. Reminiscent of Napoleon’s disastrous invasion of Russia, largely affected by the type of harsh Russian winter chill that plays a prominent role in their vodka, thus Napoleon's Tear.
Being a signature drink of The Bee~Hive Tavern requires the sweetness be added by honey, of course. We serve local cranberry bog honey exclusively - an ideal match for these high quality artisanal ingredients.
Further, our Chef/Owner was born on a dairy farm in Wales with a lifetime of memories of the elderflower in bloom. His grandmother served her own homemade elderflower wine until the age of 99.
